By accessing and using Gatsou, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

Description of Service

Gatsou is a pet management platform that provides:

• Pet adoption services connecting users with animal groups and rescues
• Pet health management tools including calendars and medical records
• Service provider directory for veterinarians, groomers, and trainers
• Pet profile management and photo storage
• Community features for pet owners
• E-commerce platform for pet supplies

User Accounts

User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any laws
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Upload malicious code or attempt to gain unauthorized access
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Violate any intellectual property rights
• Spam or send unsolicited communications
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission

Pet Adoption Services

Our adoption services connect users with animal groups and rescues. Please note:

• We are not responsible for the accuracy of pet information provided by animal groups
• Adoption decisions are made by the animal group, not Gatsou
• We do not guarantee the health, behavior, or suitability of any pet
• Adoption fees and requirements are set by individual animal groups
• We facilitate connections but are not party to adoption agreements

Service Provider Directory

Our directory lists veterinarians, groomers, trainers, and other pet service providers. Please understand that:

• We do not endorse or guarantee the quality of services provided
• Service providers are independent businesses
• We are not responsible for the actions or omissions of service providers
• Reviews and ratings are user-generated and may not reflect our views

Payments and Refunds

For paid services and products purchased directly on our platform:

• All fees are displayed in the currency specified at the time of purchase
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe or other approved payment providers
• Refund policies for marketplace purchases vary by service provider and are subject to their terms
• We reserve the right to update pricing with reasonable advance notice

Subscriptions

Gatsou offers optional paid subscription plans (Basic) for users and businesses that unlock additional features. Subscriptions can be purchased on the web or through the mobile app. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the following:

• Subscriptions are available on a monthly or yearly basis at the price shown at time of purchase
• Web payments are processed securely via Stripe; mobile payments are charged to your Apple ID (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) upon confirmation
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings on the web, your Apple ID settings (iOS), or your Google Play account (Android)
• EU/EEA consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal for web subscriptions purchased via Stripe. By confirming your purchase and requesting immediate activation, you expressly consent to the service commencing before the withdrawal period expires and acknowledge that you thereby waive your right of withdrawal, in accordance with Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU. Mobile subscriptions purchased through Apple or Google are governed by their respective store policies
• No refund is issued for the remaining days of the current billing period upon cancellation; access continues until the period ends
• After cancellation your account reverts to the free tier at the end of the billing period
• Free tier features remain available regardless of subscription status
• Gatsou will notify you of subscription pricing changes at least 30 days in advance via email or in-app notification; if you do not accept the new price, you may cancel before it takes effect

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Gatsou and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of our content without our express written permission.

User-Generated Content

By posting content on our Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content. You retain ownership of your content.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Service, to understand our practices.

Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Liability for Misuse

If you use the Service in a way that causes verifiable damage to Gatsou or third parties — including through wilful misconduct, fraud, or material breach of these Terms — you may be held liable for direct losses resulting from such conduct to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in this clause limits or excludes any rights you have as a consumer under EU or Greek law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece and the European Union. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece. This does not affect your rights as an EU consumer to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence under EU Regulation No 1215/2012 (Brussels I Recast).

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. For non-material changes we will update this page and the date. For material changes we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice via email or in-app notification. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may close your account before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
